Manage Your Expectations.

Most of life is about anticipation. We expect to wake up tomorrow, so we have a to-do-list. We expect to live till the end of the month, so we prepare a budget. We expect to see December 2016 so we set goals for the entire year.

Sometimes we meet our own expectations, and we are naturally excited. Other times there’s a gap between our expectations and reality, and that’s when we experience negative emotions ranging from pain, disgust, depression, disappointment or anger.

Bottomline, when life doesn’t line up as we expect, we have two options- we can either bitch and complain OR better learn to better manage our own expectations. This can save us from suffering from heartache and hypertension. Flexibility isn’t something we need for yoga, it’s also necessary for everyday living because sh*t happens.
