Let’s throw a pity party. Call up your friends and complain to them on all that’s wrong with your life, job and relationship.
People may even show up for the party, but if all the music you keep playing is the same track titled ‘Complain’, then you’re soon going to need to record a new song called ‘Lonely’.
So what to do when you feel frustrated? Design a plan for your life. Focus on what you want and NOT what you don’t want. Stop the complaining, criticising, comparing and competing.
Raise your game by loving yourself (self esteem) and figuring out what actions (initiative) you can take to get the outcome you desire. Do anything than just keep complaining and cursing. No one enjoys a pity party, except other losers.
Have you ever seen an animal complaining? That’s not something you’ll witness often, humans are the only creatures with a bias for self-pity. You might get our attention, but after a while, it backfires and people start avoiding you.
The squeaky wheel may get oiled first, but sooner or later if it keeps squeaking, it will get dropped and replaced.
