Samson failed not because he wasn’t strong enough. Rather he failed because he succumbed to seduction. Don’t be easily seduced by early success and stop doing what you’ve always done that made you a success in the first place.
Delilah succeeded not because she was entirely irresistible. Rather she succeeded because she generally refused to give up. Don’t be too easily dismayed by an early failure that you quit doing the activities that will eventually make you successful. Remember Delilah failed in her first two attempts.
The difference between success and failure is the activities leading to both events. To achieve success in almost any area requires grit and hard work, it requires short-term pain initially, but the end justifies the means. On the flip side, the road to failure is rigged with pleasures on its pathway, the end result however is massive pain.
So today take another look at the activities and habits you undertake daily, be honest about whether the end result will lead to Success or Failure. This way it’s far easier to understand whether the Pleasure or Pain you are currently experiencing is entirely worthwhile.
