Would you marry yourself?
Would you be friends with someone like you?
Would you promote someone with your work ethic?
Would you trust someone like you with a loan?
Most of the time we point fingers. We make a habit of trading blames and accuse everyone else but ourselves of being less than perfect.
At the end of the day, the fact is that people are who they are and they are quite difficult to change. If you’ve ever struggled with losing weight, starting a diet, quitting cigarettes, being born again- you’ll know exactly how hard change is.
So rather than playing the blame game or expecting others to change, why don’t we focus instead improving ourselves a little each day?
A 1% improvement can lead to a brand new you in the next 100 days. Just think about it. Don’t wish things were easier or people were different, rather work to be better and everything else will fall into place.
